How it is built
Every standard cable attachment fails in the same place for the same reason. This is what we changed, and why each decision is there.
One point, every time
A rope attachment does not wear out evenly. It fails at a single location, and everything downstream follows from that.
The friction point
The rope meets hard edges where it enters the hardware. Every rep drags fibre across that edge under load.
It opens up
Fibres break, the lay of the rope loosens, and the two sides stop being the same length as each other.
The pull goes crooked
An uneven rope pulls the body out of line. Members feel the movement change even when they cannot name what changed.
It gets reordered
Somebody raises another PO, the same part goes back on the same station, and the clock starts again.
Six decisions
Each one exists to remove a failure the category accepted.
Dual rope system
Rather than working around the place a single rope gives out, the build uses two ropes so that single friction point is not there to fail. Both are cut to guaranteed equal lengths, which is what keeps the pull square and the engagement the same on each side.
Angle Lock Technology
A metal housing holds the ropes at a fixed angle instead of letting them rotate and wander under load. The result is that every rep stays in the biomechanically optimal range, rather than drifting as the attachment ages.
The housing is the problem
A typical attachment uses a sheet-moulded metal collar, and the edges where the rope passes through it are what drive the fraying. The housing is not incidental to the failure, it causes it. Ours is built to hold the rope cleanly instead, which is the single change that does the most work.
Rubber end caps
Hands stay locked in through long sessions and high-rep sets, so grip is not the limiting factor on the last set of the day.
Custom nylon rope
The classic nylon rope feel members already know, specified for grip and recovery under load rather than for how cheaply it can be produced.
Premium finish
Premium look and feel on your floors. An attachment should look like the rest of the equipment it hangs on, not like the one consumable nobody got around to replacing.
Against the category
| Adonai | Standard attachment | |
|---|---|---|
| Housing | Metal housing built to hold the rope cleanly | Sheet-moulded metal, with edges the rope works against |
| Rope | Dual rope, equal lengths guaranteed | Single rope through the hardware |
| Friction point | Engineered out of the build | The build itself drives the fraying |
| Line of pull | Held by Angle Lock | Drifts as the rope loosens |
| Service life | Years on a commercial floor | Replaced on a cycle |
| Warranty | Two years, full commercial | Typically none worth claiming |
The same standard,
applied wider
A whole line of cable attachments is in development through next year, starting with Adonai Bars. Same housing standard, same warranty.
